Isolated pockets of hard wind slab exist at the upper elevations. These slabs could pose a threat to backcountry travelers venturing into extreme terrain. Mostly stable snow exists and avalanches are unlikely in less radical terrain and at the lower elevations.

Westerly ridgetop winds will range from 10 to 20 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Tuesday. At the upper elevations, backcountry travelers might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of shallow hard slab in very steep, avalanche prone terrain. While small, these slides have the potential to carry skiers or riders over cliff bands or into terrain traps.
