The 600 metre freezing level will rise to 700 then later 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with storm force South-South-East winds creating heavy drifting. The freezing level was around 400 metres. ObservedSnowStability: New accumulations of poorly bonded windslab have developed; this is most widespread above 800 metres on North-West to North-East aspects, cross loading has affected West and East aspects. On steep banks and burn lines unstable windslab is developing below 800 metres. Avalanche activity noted on a North aspect at 530 metres. On these aspects cornices are fragile.
