Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected. The snowpack will remain generally stable throughout, moist and continue to thaw at all levels. Greatest snow accumulations will be on North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 800m, mostly around coire rims and in gullies. Small cornices will be weak and prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will remain above the summits. A mainly dry night then rain showers in the morning, merging into longer periods of rain in the afternoon. Light South-Easterly winds will steadily increase to fresh overnight, then back South-West late afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A mild and mostly dry day, with occasional localised rain showers in the afternoon. The freezing level was above the summits. Light South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally stable throughout, moist and gradually thawing at all levels. Greatest snow accumulations are on North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 800m, mainly around coire rims and in gullies. Only patchy snow cover remains below this level. Cornices are small, but weak and prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Low.
