Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snowpack will re-freeze at higher elevations overnight above 800 metres. New snow amounts are unlikely to be significant, although where they do achieve depth, above 850 metres new snow instabilities will exist. These in steepest gully flanks and exits on North to Easterly aspects. Small, isolated ribbons of old snow exist down to 500 metres. Good stability on all wind scoured aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will lower again to around 800 metres overnight, with any clearing rain turning to snow above this elevation. Some light scattered snow showers will affect the area during the day. The winds will remain strong South-South-Westerly throughout. Observed Weather Influences: A mild and wet Southerly airflow affected the area overnight and during the day. Heavier rain overnight became more of a light drizzle during the day, at all elevations. Strengthening summit winds as the day progressed. ObservedSnowStability: Wet snow instabilities have affected the recent, localised accumulations in steep North-West through North to Easterly facing aspects above above 900 metres. Most affected areas are around gully tops . The avalanche hazard is Considerable
