30 cm of snow, and up to 50 cm in some localities, will fall until the evening above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a strong northwesterly wind, sometimes large wind slabs will form in the course of the day in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as above the tree line. In these altitude zones medium-sized and large natural avalanches are possible. They can also be released in the old snowpack. Backcountry touring and snowshoe hiking call for extensive experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and careful route selection.

The new snow of the last two days will be deposited on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack. This applies in particular on steep slopes in particular between approximately 2900 and 2300 m. In its middle, the snowpack is faceted. The old snowpack remains generally moist. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

In some localities wind and new snow: The danger of dry and moist avalanches will decrease gradually.
