Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to gradually consolidate in the fluctuating temperatures, snowpack stability will be good. Many slopes will be firm and icy particualry slopes above 900 metres exposed to the recent South-Easterly winds, elsewhere a breakable crust is likely to from as the freezing level falls. Any new snow amounts are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry with occasional light showers which will fall as snow above around 500 metres. The freezing level will fall from around 800 metres to 400 metres during the forecast period. Gale force mainly Easterly winds on the summits. . Observed Weather Influences: Damp with occasional drizzle or summit snow particularly where in the cloud. The freezing level was around 950 metres although temperatures only just below freezing on the highest summits. Moderate South-Easterly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Slopes scoured by the recent South-Easterly winds are scoured, often icy and stable. Older windslab which exists mainly on West to North aspects above 950 metres is now well bonded and stability here is also generally good. Cornices above these aspects are fragile. The avalanche hazard is Low.
