Forecast Snow Stability: The older snowpack will remain firm and stable. A shallow more recent layer of snow, mainly to be found on North-East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres, will have a minor weakness below a crust. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: It will be dry and clear with light variable winds. After an overnight frost the freezing level will be around 600 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: After a trace of snow in the morning it was a dry day. There were moderate North-East winds and the freezing level was around 600 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The older snowpack is firm and stable. More recent snow accumulations, mostly to be found on North-East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres, have minor weaknesses persisting below a crust. The avalanche hazard is Low.
