Forecast Snow Stability: Localised and generally shallow areas of unstable windslab will be present in wind sheltered locations mainly on North-East through East to South aspects above 800 metres. At lower elevations there will be a thin covering of soft unconsolidated snow. The patchy older snowpack will be frozen and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Strong North-West winds and snow showers overnight. Dry during the day with winds easing to become moderate. Freezing level around 300 metres.
