Snow totals varied from the east and west sides of the Tetons - several inches at Rendezvous Bowl and Suprise Meadow and near 2 feet at Chief Joseph, Targhee. Gusty winds from the west and southwest allowed the formation of wind slabs throughout the day yesterday, and there were reports of sensitive wind slabs in the upper and middle elevations near Targhee and on Mt. Glory. You are most likely to find this problem on leeward-facing slopes and terrain features. If you are traveling in avalanche terrain that was on the receiving end of higher snowfall totals, expect to find larger and more connected wind slabs. In these areas, these slabs could be large enough to injure or bury someone in specific terrain features.

A photo from earlier this spring, that highlights small steep test slopes and reactive storm snow.
