Wind slabs and wet snow require caution.

The fresh wind slabs have bonded quite well with the old snowpack. Some fresh snow and the small wind slabs formed during the snowfall are now only very rarely prone to triggering at elevated altitudes. Wet avalanches can in very isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially on very steep west, north and east facing slopes below approximately 2600 m. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation individual loose snow slides are possible as the day progresses, but they will be mostly small.

Above approximately 2200 m snow has fallen. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from northerly directions, mostly small wind slabs formed in particular in high Alpine regions. These are lying on soft layers especially on very steep shady slopes. The weather conditions will foster a rapid stabilisation of the snow drift accumulations. Over a wide area an overcast night. The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften quickly. The old snowpack is wet. Up to high altitudes rain will fall in the afternoon in some localities.

The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night. The danger of wet avalanches will already exist in the early morning. Mostly avalanches are only small.
