Today will be a transition day. Last night temperatures at the mid and upper elevations generally fell to freezing or several degrees below freezing. At the lower elevations temperatures were above or near freezing. With clouds and cooler air moving into the region avalanches are unlikely except on very steep slopes where the snowpack did not freeze overnight.
