As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from southwesterly directions, mostly small wind slabs formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines. They are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. Small moist snow slides are possible as the day progresses.

Snowpack Structure

Hardly any snow is lying. 5 to 10 cm of snow fell on Friday above approximately 2300 m. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. The snowpack will be moist. This applies in all aspects below approximately 2800 m.

The avalanche danger will persist.
