Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack which remains limited to coire rims, back walls and in gullies, mostly above 950 metres on Northerly to Easterly aspects will refreeze, becoming firm and stable. New snow accumulations are not expected to be significant but a fresh covering of new snow will lie on mostly bare ground on South to South-Westerly aspects above 600 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Freezing levels will be at summit levels overnight lowering to 700 meters by daybreak. Precipitation falling as snow above 600 metres, mostly during the early hours with some light showers during the morning then dying out, leaving a dry day. Winds light to moderate in strength mostly Northerly to Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: Mild with the freezing level well above the summits. Moderate strength South-Westerly winds with showery precipitation falling as rain to all levels. ObservedSnowStability: A light dusting of moist new snow on mostly North to North-East aspects above 900m with no significant accumulations. Generally a patchy snow cover with most deposits above 950 metres on North to Easterly aspects. More widespread snow cover in the Northern areas of the area especially on high plateau locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
