Forecast Snow Stability: During the night, isolated surface wet snow instabilities will develop in recent windslab deposits. Steep sheltered locations, such as coire rims and gully tops, on East to South aspects above 950 metres will be affected. Elsewhere much of the fresh snow will thaw overnight, any remaining snow will consolidate and gradually refreeze during the day. Stability will be good. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Showers in the early part of the night will be snow initially quickly turning to rain at all levels before clearing to give a dry overcast day. The freezing level will be well above the summits during the night, falling to around 1100 metres by dawn and around 800 metres by the end of the day. Strong Westerly winds will increase in strength slightly and veer West-North-Westerly

Observed Weather Influences: A cold, cloudy, dry day with Strong Northerly-Westerly winds. It was freezing at most levels initially, the freezing level rose to around 700 metres later in the day.

ObservedSnowStability: Isolated areas of fresh moderately bonded windslab are developing on steep East to South aspects above around 950 metres. These deposits are generally shallow and avoidable; mainly affecting steep wind sheltered locations such as coire rims and gully tops. Elsewhere there is a dusting of fresh snow. The old snow patches remain well bonded, firm and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
