The southerly wind has transported some snow. In particular on wind-loaded slopes the avalanches can be triggered in the new snow and wind slab layers and reach medium size. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation this applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. The fresh snow and the wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant. As a consequence of the rain wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses. This applies in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. Ski touring and other off-piste activities, including snowshoe hiking, call for caution.

Over a wide area over a wide area 20 to 30 cm of snow, but less in some localities, has fallen since Friday above approximately 2200 m. The southerly wind has transported the new snow. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with each other and the old snowpack. The surface of the snowpack cooled hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. Precipitation at intermediate altitudes: The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes.

On Wednesday as the precipitation becomes more intense there will be a gradual increase in the danger.
