In some localities a little new snow. Especially along the border with Switzerland, along the border with France and in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and the danger is slightly greater. The fresh wind slabs are mostly small and to be assessed critically. The weather will be clear. The backcountry touring conditions are mostly favourable. As the temperature drops hardly any more moist and wet avalanches are to be expected. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

In some localities 2 to 10 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 2000 m. The snowpack is hard and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust will soften during the day. This applies in particular on shady slopes as well as at high altitude. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes there is still a very large amount of snow.
