At the upper elevations soft slabs up to two feet in depth persist in the starting zones of known avalanche paths and in cliff areas. These slabs could be triggered by the weight of a single person. The potential for a human to trigger one of these slabs will increase as the day warms. Wet loose slides could also occur on very steep sunlit slopes. At the mid elevations isolated pockets of shallow surface slab less than a foot deep could be human triggered on very steep slopes. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.

Steep temperature inversion will develop under a ridge of high pressure. Skies will be mostly clear above morning valley fog. Overnight lows will be near zero in the coldest valley locations and around 15 degrees at the summit level. Daytime highs will rise into the mid 30s at the summits and into the 20s in the valleys. Winds will back towards the south at 10 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE and will increase at the higher elevation as the day warms.
