Low angle gully features will provide the best skiing/riding.

The slick surface beneath has created a sliding hazard.

    Small pockets of wind slab may form around terrain features with light SE winds.

    Avoid areas of obvious loading if deeper than boot top.

Recent Avalanche Activity

No significant recent activity.

Current Snowpack Conditions

7 or so cm yesterday and overnight above 1500m in the Alpine and High Alpine.

Little to no wind effect observed. The snow has been slow to bond to the slick old surface - resulting in dust on crust conditions.

The mid and lower snowpack is well consolidated.

Some rime may be encountered today with SE winds.

Mountain Weather

Light snow and cloud clearing into the afternoon. L-M SE winds. Temps still cool with a 700m FAFL rising to 1000m.

Sliding Danger

Expect firm conditions on all aspects under the new snow.

An ice axe/crampons are recommended as well as caution moving over consequential terrain.
