The avalanche danger is generally LOW. Continue to use caution if you encounter drifts and wind affected snow on steep slopes near the ridges especially on the more east facing steep slopes.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: It was a gorgeous day on Friday with ridgetop temperatures reaching 40 degrees and light wind. The snow surface is a mixed bag of bad conditions including firm wind hammered snow and melt freeze crusts. However, there is also nice settled dense powder in lots of areas. Overnight temperatures only dropped into the mid 20s. West wind is starting to increase along the ridges.
Mountain Weather: We'll see clouds moving in today with mild temperatures up in the mountains. Highs should be in the mid 30s along the ridgetops and southwest wind should increase in speed a bit. We might see a little snow during the day on Sunday but there is a better chance for a few inches of accumulation Sunday night.
